No More Cancer

A woman at our church prayed for a woman she knows, who had pancreatic cancer. The woman was going to M.D. Anderson and things were looking grim. After receiving prayer, the next set of tests showed no sign of cancer. The doctor says there is no more cancer!

The River of God

We attended a church service last week that blew my mind. There was such peace and tranquility as Mahesh Chavda shared the gospel in his quiet, "no frills" way. At the end of the service, he and several of our leaders formed a line (like a tunnel) and people began walking through it as the people prayed for them. It was sweet and simple. As I stood outside of the line, I prayed for people, as well. About an hour later, as the line of people dwindled down, it was my turn to go through. I was already having a hard time standing. As people passed by me, it was as if I was being hit with waves of warm "water." The peace was amazing. I found my knees trying to buckle, but I stood firm. Finally, I sat down...but now it was my turn to go through, so I made my way toward the leaders. The closer I got, the more wonderful the "river" of warmth around my legs and I felt the way that I suppose someone would feel after a few glasses of wine. Before I even got to the leaders, I began to fall forward, it seemed in slow motion. No one had touched me, but I could see them reaching out to keep me from falling. Next thing I knew, I was being carried. I felt arms around my waist and under my arms; people trying to lift me up and they were laughing. I heard one man say, "She can't handle her liquor!" I tried so hard to stand, but my body was as limp as a noodle...and it felt wonderful! It was like being in a pool of peace...a warm river..the presence of God. I began to giggle at myself as I tried to stand. There was no strength in my legs but it felt so good. I could not open my eyes to look around me because I was basking in God's glorious presence. Finally, I was carried out of the line and set aside on the steps.

I went home, amazed at what had happened. I went to bed smiling. After awhile, I awoke myself with giggling and I looked at the clock...it was 3am! I still felt so full of joy and peace.

Ever since that night, I have had incredible dreams every night, of being with God. On top of that, I am discovering that even when things are not so great, all I have to do is think about that moment and I start giggling again and I feel peace.

God is so good. I want to stay in that place with Him. I am learning to step into that place even when there is so much going wrong around me...and I find strength.

This Week....

There are many reports of God's favor, for example, people getting jobs that they thought were nearly impossible, God returning lost items to people, and God delivering people from potentially bad situations. One situation involved the Lord actually changing a mistake in a catalog (2,000,000 copies) that saved our friends' job!

My husband lost a set of keys last week. We looked everywhere for them, even dumping his briefcase/bag....still, no keys. He left to teach his class and at the end, he asked someone to pray with him for his keys to turn up. When he went to get something from his bag, the keys were right there!

Also, our pastor received an email from a woman in our church, saying that she prayed for a woman with a twisted, swollen ankle. The Lord immediately touched her and all the pain left. Pastor Charles also received another email from a local pastor who was supposed to have surgery on an injured limb. After prayer, all pain left and after ten days without pain, he cancelled the surgery. He is doing well!

And here is a neat one from me: after paying bills and balancing my checkbook, I knew I was a bit limited and had XX amount of money left, so I have been extra frugal all week. Today, when I looked in my checkbook, somehow there was a lot more money in it. I don't know how it happened....it's all in my handwriting, but nothing matches up with what I KNOW I had written in there. Strange, but really awesome!

Update from Nicaragua

Remember the visit to the hospital in Matagalpa a few days ago? There was a sister in our church here that had a baby and in intensive care and I was told the baby had one lung and I will recheck on that but I went back and prayed for her baby and all the babies.
One thing that is starting to become apparent is that there is a culture of miracles being established and the people here are realizing it is the normal Christian life. Today I was asked to speak at a service in another church in Dario but also there would be one at 4 in a home, with our church and another church participating.
It seems that Tuesday morning that sister brought her baby home to Dario, completely well and the doctors could only say that it was a miracle. So she goes to our church, the dad goes to this other church and they want to dedicate the baby to God in a special service and they want me to preach. It just happens that I had personally led the dad to the Lord in the same service months ago that his wife was miraculously healed of stomach disease!
Remember the 14 year old boy, Jorge, the one I have shared about who has been marvellously used of God in healing and prophetically? Came to our school when only 4 months saved, now a year in God? The lady was his sister. Dios es bueno!

From A Friend in Nicaragua

I just received an email update from a friend in Nicaragua. Here's what it is happening:
A woman who we prayed for who was unable to have a baby was prayed for in July. While we praying for the sick last night she came up to testify that the miracle took place. She was pregnant but there was no movement in her womb and she had this sense that something was wrong. While I was preaching last night the presence of God just descended on her and she started feeling the baby move in her womb, just felt a lot of activity which is interesting as it is only 3 plus months along but she knew the child was alive!! She was just so overjoyed!
As soon as she was done, another woman got up and said that in July she came for prayer but not for herself but her husband who was at work and in severe pain constantly because of an inflammation in his body in stomach and back area. So we prayed and he was at work, she was in the church, and at that moment he was completely healed while he was working! He was in the service last night and I asked him if it was true and he said yes, that as he was working all the pain left his body and he has not had it since!
Then the husband of the woman pastor came to the pulpit. In that service in July, he was in the house and not in the service. The house is built to have a large meeting place for church and he was in the bedroom. He said he was listening to me speak and heard me say to put your hands on the area where you need healing, and I never even remembered saying that by the way. He was in severe pain and could not move and had a large tumor in his stomach.
So he lay flat, put his hand on his stomach and believed God to touch him. The next morning most of the pain was gone. The day after that, all the pain was gone and the tumor had shrunk to very small!
He was scheduled for surgery 2 days later and went anyway and watched the doctors freak out because the tumor was gone, he was pain free and completely healed! He told them what happened and they were incredulous! The testimonies of the Lord will fill the earth in this hour!!
In one service, there were miracles there besides the pregnant story, then a man in another room laying hands on himself and a man not even there being healed when someone stands in for him. What a great night in the kingdom!!

Gold Teeth Appear (God's Bling)

Regarding miracles, I have never understood the gold teeth thing, but apparently the Lord likes putting bits of Heaven upon the earth. Perhaps He "marks" us for Himself in creative ways. In some cultures, young ladies are given a gold tooth as a symbol that they are married. Here is an email I received from a friend in Maui:

This Weeks' Events

I heard three reports this week of people being instantly healed of cancer; one of which was stage 4. They all have no more signs of cancer!

A lady in our school of ministry class prayed for a teacher/co-worker that had a broken hand. God restored her hand and she is moving all of her fingers with no pain! Her hand was broken just a few days prior and was supposed to take several weeks to heal.

One of our youth group members, Jake, had injured his knee badly. It appeared to be a torn meniscus; with lots of swelling and pain. Jake kept praying for his knee, along with several other teens. Within a short time, his knee was well again.

This past Sunday, God really brought breakthrough for several broken relationships. God is mending marriages! Hardened hearts are being softened.

My Son's Eyes Are Healed!!!!

I am so thankful, so amazed, and really having a hard time finding the right words to express how I feel! My son just returned from youth camp and he came back without his glasses. He had terrible eyesight, previously, and the eye doctor had told me it would only get worse. Well, God thought differently.

During a service at the youth camp, the speaker was telling about someone in his church that received healing for their eyesight. While he was saying this, someone sitting next to my son decided to lay hands on my son's eyes and pray for him. My son said that a couple of minutes later, he noticed that his eyes were "focusing." He took off his glasses and he could see everything perfectly. He is normally a shy type who does not like to draw attention to himself, but he decided this was worth sharing, so he stood up in the middle of the service and got the speaker's attention to tell him that his eyes were healed! They called him up front and thanked God for the miracle.

Today, my husband and I tested his eyesight by having him read things and describe things that are far away. Before, he could not even tell who was in the same room with him without his glasses and words would appear as a big, dark spot. Today, however, he described and read everything perfectly WITHOUT his glasses!!! In fact, he could read things that my husband could not even read, and my son's eyesight had been WORSE than my husband's eyesight. We are absolutely amazed by God and rejoicing over what has happened! Needless to say, my son has been asked by a lot of people to pray for their eyesight and he is having a blast sharing what God has done. Thank You, Lord! (As I type this, he is watching the T.V. from across the room, and he is NOT squinting to see!)

Torn Pancreas Restored

A little boy in our church had a bicycle accident this month. The handlebar went into his abdomen, so he was taken to the ER where they found that his pancreas was almost completely severed. Also, his liver had a laceration. Things were looking grim and the doctors were preparing to do surgery to remove the pancreas. The father and mother prayed over their son, laying hands on his abdomen and asking God to restore everything. After having another MRI, the doctors returned to inform the parents that their son's pancreas was perfect! They could not explain how an almost completely severed pancreas returned to normal within 24 hours. Little Garrett is doing well!

New Knee

This past week, a woman in our church received a brand new knee cap due to prayer! The lady that was praying for her felt the knee cap forming underneath of her hand.

Broken Vertebrae Healed

My father-in-law fell and the x-rays/MRI showed a compression fracture in the L4 vertebrae. The doctor showed the difference between an "old break" and a new break. The doctors began preparing him for back surgery, but did a bone scan to check the depth of damage first. The bone scan revealed that there were no fractures or breaks....only an "old break," one of which the doctor had previously said was a "new break." Hmmm...well, it healed up in a hurry! Back surgery was cancelled from the plans.

God Touches a Friend Going Through Chemotherapy

In this particular post, my friend, Karol (pictured in the center), has not yet received total healing (that we know of), but she has allowed me to post what she wrote about how the Lord touched and encouraged her this past Mother's Day.

Karol writes:
Hi everyone -

I know that this is a group of awesome believers who have blessed me with their prayers and their support so I am asking for your continued support as I go forward.

Last week was truly one of the hardest weeks, after the chemotherapy, which I approached with trepidation (unlike the peace I had the previous time), I got very ill.
Not just side-effects from the chemo but the reaction apparently that I had to the drug they gave me after the chemo to strengthen my bones.
3 trips in 3 days to Kaiser without anything that provided relief.

I really wanted to get to service at Grace on Sunday and so with a lot of help from Keoni actually made it there, but I was barely hanging on. Then Michelle sent Ethan Finnberg to get me,
and bring me to children's church. she said that she really felt the Lord telling her to have the children pray for me. And so I was blessed to have little hands laid on me and little voices, some
barely raised, but all praying for my well being. One of the children started to sing, " Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, Here I am to say that you're my God."

What an incredible moment. As Michelle encouraged others to sing I felt something lift off me, I felt this shift, not like a lightening bolt, more like a little scoot over happen. And holding those little hands,
feeling their faith, my faith began to rise.

I realized that I was the only one standing in the way of my receiving the healing God had for me, that people were praying I would receive, that I did truly want in my heart, but somewhere thought that I did not deserve.
I realized that I had to put aside anything and everything that made me doubt, all things self-centered, so that healing could be mine, and like the small children who were praying for me, step up in faith and claim the promises God had made.

I started to sing with the children, what a joy what a sense I cannot describe. I felt transformed by this encounter.

I went back into regular service and when Shannon was done speaking about some of the incredible experiences that he, Michelle and Kaatee had had at Redding and at Lakeland Florida, he went through the congregation,
and when he touched my hand I could feel the power of God flowing through him so strongly, it caused another shift in me.

So, sorry this is so long, but I realized after all of this that I can't go back and do the chemo again. I have no peace about it, I feel that God is directing me to go at this another way. I am going to do everything to get
my body healthy and well naturally, as well as zealously pursuing God's complete healing in my body - so I am believing that God is going to find a way for me to get to Redding, because since Bill Johnson has called out
a cancer free zone, I beleive that if I simply enter the area the cancer will not be able to stay.

I am asking you all to partner with me in prayer and support for this to come to fruition. I know that I have to lay down everything, my life , everything I love an hold dear and am asking God to take it all and use it, however He wishes,
because without Him I am nothing, without Him it means nothing, without Him there is nothing. I want Him to use me, I long to bring His presence to people who don't know Him.

I have no idea what will happen next but I have hope and I have faith (2 things I was in serious short supply of last week) and I will do whatever He tells me to do and go wherever He tells me to go to glorify His name and to make His love a reality to people.

I love you all, and thank God for the blessings you have poured out on my life and continue to pour out on my life.

And Suddenly....

We have been praying for almost 8 months for the healing of my sister's arm. During her visit to Maui last September, she was on a boogie board at Big Beach when a huge wave pushed her into the sand, breaking her shoulder. Ever since that time, she had been unable to lift her arm up completely and it was really weak. Every day, she would try to lift it and exercise it, but it would not go beyond a certain point and it was very painful. Each day, she would give it a try. Last weekend, she initiated this exercise routine, and SUDDENLY, she had full range of motion and there is no more pain!! When I came to her house, she said, excitedly, "Look! Look what I can do." I am so joyful and extremely grateful to God for touching her arm.
We prayed for months, fervently, to see this happen. I do not know why it took so long, but when it did happen, it was suddenly. It's as if our prayers finally got through and Heaven was opened up to our cry. Thank You, Lord.

Miracles in Texas and Abroad

I am so behind on posting here. Here are a few things that have happened recently.
1. On the college campus, my husband spoke to the campus ministry team and encouraged them to step out in praying for people. They prayed for a young man who had crushed his hand earlier that morning. He could not move some of his fingers. As they prayed for him, the pain began to leave and he could move his hand.
2. In a Bible study last week, a man's torn rotator cuff was healed. He raised his arm above his head.
3. Numerous divine appointments have occurred in this last month. I should have written about each of them when it happened, but over all, God used words of knowledge to reach hurting ministers and to spark new life where they were beginning to burn out.
4. We received a prayer request for a 17-year-old who had fallen out of a truck and hit his head, which caused him to be in a coma. Several people have prayed for him this week. This morning, I received word that he is awake and being weaned off of his ventilator.
5. A few weeks ago, we were asked to pray for a little girl who was unconscious after a television fell on her. Blood was coming from her ears and she was air-lifted to the hospital. Many people prayed and she is now doing well.

MRI Report After Stroke

Here's an interesting one:
My father-in-law suffered a stroke a week ago. He was completely unresponsive, unable to move, talk or make eye contact. The CT scan showed a definite stroke in the left, frontal area of the brain. The neurologist told us it would be a long road to recovery and he said, "Do not expect any change overnight." The very next morning, my father-in-law was speaking clearly and carrying on conversation, walking around and able to function. They decided to take him in for an MRI with the dye to get a better look at the damage. The MRI showed a normal brain with absolutely NO damage and NO sign of a stroke.

Here's the tricky part: about two days later, he began having trouble putting his words together. He is still functioning well, except for his speech. BUT he can say, "Praise the Lord. Thank You, Jesus. Hallelujah. Amen." All he can do is praise the Lord. Today, we had prayer for him for quite awhile and then he was able to say some other words....and even a couple of sentences. We know that God touched him and we are expecting full recovery.

Chronic Back Pain Healed/Stroke Recovery Overnight

Last week, we attended a conference about the Kingdom of God, where a man reluctantly came with his daughter. The man has dealt with chronic, intense back pain for years....he has endured surgery, injections and tried every alternative option available to relieve the pain, yet he could not get free from it. During the conference, he went outside because his back was hurting too badly to sit down. When he came back in, he felt the presence of God all over him and all the pain left. This week, he has worked hard labor WITHOUT PAIN! He can't believe it. He reports that the pain has not returned.

My father-in-law had a stroke yesterday and could not move at first. He regained movement within a couple of hours, but his speech was not right. He could not form words or communicate what he was trying to say. The doctor told us last night, after seeing the CAT scan and other tests, that we should not expect change over night and that this could be a long road to recovery. My mother-in-law said, "We believe in miracles." This morning, my father-in-law woke up, speaking well and has his sense of humor back! We are thanking God for quick recovery.

Marriage Restored/Back Healed

I can't keep up with all of the amazing things that are happening! I'm so behind in writing about them.

This past week, a man with chronic back pain was healed and he was able to do his construction work (including mixing concrete) without having pain afterwards. He feels that his youth has been restored. Also, when my husband had prayed for him, God gave him insight; the man said it was as if my husband read his medical history and knew about the dreams and desires that he had. I love the way that God works through His people.

Long story short: a couple that divorced 9 months ago began seeking God after their separation. Their search led them each, individually, to the School of Supernatural Ministry. They were both shocked when they showed up at the school and saw each other. They have reconciled and are pursuing God together!
